Weight Lifting

I am the owner of Paradigm Sport and Spine PLLC specializing in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and McKenzie Method. I hold a doctorate in Chiropractic Degree from National University of Health Sciences, a B.S. in Clinical Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University am a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the NSCA, and have over five years of experience in the strength and conditioning world. I interned with Barwis Methods Training for a year, spent a year as an intern for Elite Performance, which was followed with a position as a strength and conditioning coach for two years at Elite Performance; There I was able to obtain experience working with athletes ranging from middle school to the professional level. In addition, I worked for two years as the strength and conditioning coach for Grand Valley State Universities Women’s lacrosse team only leaving to go to Chiropractic school in Lombard IL at the end of 2016. While in Illinois I worked as a coach for Crossfit Alphadog for 3 years and had the opportunity to compete on two Crossfit teams (2017, 2018) in the Central Region. I have always had a passion for fitness and weightlifting and finding Crossfit further embedded that passion.

Now, all of the above is my professional spiel but the things that I am most proud of and that define me are not driven by filling a resume. My greatest job is being a husband and father. I value honesty and doing a good job and that is what truly will set this gym apart from the rest. I grew up in Forest Hills and I can’t think of anything better than being able to return and serve the community that provided me with a great environment and opportunity to better myself.

Core Exercise

I graduated from Baker College in 2014 with my degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since then I have spent 6 years working in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy with an emphasis in post-op care and return to sport with athletes. In 2019, I completed 18 months of continuing education and testing to be Certified Orthopedic Specialist. I also have continuing education in bunch other things you probably don't care to read about.

I have always been an avid athlete and gym-goer but became a functional fitness enthusiast 4 years ago and haven't looked back since.

You can find me weightlifting, avidly avoiding cardio, wishing I could find the time to rock climb again, with my nose in a book, or spending time with my family.
